Israeli Version of “Survivor” Premieres with Animal Cruelty

CPP'd on December 17th, 2007

As I am writing this, the first episode of the Israeli version of the hit TV series “Survivor” is being aired on Israeli television (channel 10). Having bought the rights to the show, it is so far a fair imitation of the original series, this one shot on the Caribbean Islands.

So far, survivors were split into groups and challenged to jump off a boat in the middle of ocean and get the game started.

What they were asked to do was swim to rafts filled with tools necessary for survival, grab as many as they can and swim back to their new individual boats.

So far so good.

What I didn’t see coming, however, was a couple of cages with live chickens amongst the items on the raft…

Google Analytics Predicts Where Human Consciousness is Going

CPP'd on December 13th, 2007

The Google Analytics statistics for this blog have been playing a really interesting role in my recent ‘enlightenment’ process.

As most know, the popular Google tool has a feature that shows you what information (or keywords) readers around the world were searching for when they happened to run across your website in the search engine results.

So because this blog has been focusing more and more on spirituality lately (as my own understandings unfold), it is starting to draw in readers who are searching for similar information. What it ALSO does is give me a close, personal, inside look at ‘topics of interest’ that people like myself have been researching lately on the web.

And I can tell you this: the different keywords that have been showing up on my statistics lately really start to paint a clear picture that something.. SOMETHING is happening to our collective consciousness - much of which I myself have yet to understand.

Here are some examples of real keywords that people have been looking for:…

Yoko Ono Lennon: Think Peace, Act Peace, Spread Peace

December 8, 2007

I miss you, John. 27 years later, I still wish I could turn back the clock to the Summer of 1980. I remember everything - sharing our morning coffee, walking in the park together on a beautiful day, and seeing your hand stretched to mine - holding it, reassuring me that I shouldn’t worry about anything because our life was good.

I had no idea that life was about to teach me the toughest lesson of all. I learned the intense pain of losing a loved one suddenly, without warning, and without having the time for a final hug and the chance to say, “I love you,” for the last time. The pain and shock of that sudden loss is with me every moment of every day. When I touched John’s side of our bed on the night of December 8th, 1980, I realized that it was still warm. That moment has haunted me for the past 27 years - and will stay with me forever.

Even harder for me is watching what was taken away from our beautiful boy, Sean.

He lives in silent anger over not having his Dad, whom he loved so much, around to share his life with. I know we are not alone. Our pain is one shared by many other families who are suffering as the victims of senseless violence. This pain has to stop…

What’s the Worst That Could Happen: A Global Warming Decision

CPP'd on December 9th, 2007

Global warming: Panicked activists think it’s the worse think to ever happen to humanity… hardening skeptics claim its a hoax… and everyone inbetween simply thinks to themselves: “What’s the worst that could happen?”

But then along comes a 38-year-old science teacher and father of two, and asks 2.5 million YouTube viewers the folllowing question:

What if I told you I think I’ve found an argument that makes that whole bitter question of whether it’s really happening or not, moot? An argument where we don’t need to know whether it’s true or not in order to still decide what to do or not do. An argument that leads to a conclusion that even the most hardened skeptic and the most panicked activist both can agree on?

So what’s the worst that could happen? Well, that depends on which column you choose… (check out this video below:)
