The Importance of Overcoming Guilt
CPP'd on February 5th, 2008Guilt was never a rational thing; it distorts all the faculties of the human mind, it perverts them, it leaves a man no longer in the free use of his reason, it puts him into confusion.
~ Edmund Burke
Guilt is, simply put, a wrong notion. Guilt is paralyzing, destructive. You think you have done something you shouldn’t have; you hadn’t done something you should have.
Guilt is the false idea that you could have done better; that you had the power to choose. But if you look deeply into it, you will see that you were helpless. There was simply no choice.
There might still be tears and sadness, efforts at reparation might still be needed – but deep down inside, there will be a measure of peace, resting in the knowledge that you were not at fault.
Understanding Guilt
The death of guilt comes with the realization that you could have done nothing else. Your emotional state, your past conditioning, your beliefs and knowledge, your instincts and intuition – they were just too strong. A beach ball, separated from its owner, pulled along by the raging waves – what can it do? It is dragged out, lost at sea. Who can blame it?
Without awareness, we are without control, completely at the mercy of our past.
Relax your body; close your eyes. Think of the last time you felt angry. Place yourself, as best as you can, back in time…

The Art of Giving What You Don’t Have
CPP'd on December 16th, 2007
What if we were to discover something very strange - what if we discovered that all our giving, our kindness and charity, had come from a place of lack and misunderstanding?
The time of giving and love is upon us, and it’s natural for the world to be buzzing about the beauty of giving. But this post is a little different. It’s about giving, yes, but not just the common misunderstanding.
What do I mean? For many, Christmas is about stress, fatigue, finding the right presents, endless parties and functions. For others, Christmas is loneliness, made worse by the fact that others are celebrating.
And many people yell back - “This is not the true spirit of Christmas! Christmas is about giving, about love!”
And what is the true spirit of giving? I was humbled to find out that even my definition of giving was wrong…

Together We Can Change The World
CPP'd on December 9th, 2007Good morning everyone! What a beautiful morning it is. Those of you who regularly read my blog know that I love and adore this time of year. As the song says, “It’s More Than A Feeling.”
It’s the time of year when people will smile more readily at strangers. Children are happy and excited, and there is just an aura of magic in the air.
And yes, it’s true that there are people out there in the world who don’t have it as good as us. No matter what level of income you are at, there is probably someone who would think you “have it good”.
Can we make a difference? Yes, we can! Part of today’s Daily Inspiration post is going to sound like a commercial. I know that, but I feel this is worthwhile and important. I have found a way to make a difference by doing something I already do. And that’s shopping. We all have to buy things, it’s a necessity. I make a difference by doing my shopping at My Power Mall…

Lets Change The World - One Act Of Kindness at a Time
CPP'd on December 9th, 2007For a long time now I’ve been trying to come up with an idea on how I could use my websites to help others. But how? I wondered how one blogger could make a difference.
Then I finally got an idea….
You’ve probably heard of what can happen when even one good deed is performed. One act of kindness tends to lead to another, creating a chain of good deeds…hundreds, even thousands of people can be positively affected….
By what started out as a single Random Act of Kindness.
So I have my idea… to encourage others to go out and make a difference in someone’s life, but is that enough? Aside from the good feelings brought on by helping someone who needs it, is there something more I could offer?
A Contest….
I decided to spice things up by turning your good deeds into a chance to win….
